Lorena Snyder
Lorena Snyder is Diaguita Indigenous mother and graduate student. She is in her first year as a Ph.D. student in the School of Social and Political Thought at York University. Her research interest includes mental health equity from an Indigenous decolonizing lens. She is focused on the legitimization of traditional knowledge and the access and barriers to mental health care within a plural framework. She writes narrative stories based on real experiences that have been shared with her. She writes about the harm, struggles and injustices endured by so many. She writes about the courage of people to heal.
