Sarah Redikopp

Sarah Redikopp (she/her) is a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program of Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies at York University, Toronto. Sarah received her MA in Women’s Studies and Feminist Research from Western University in 2018 with support from SSHRC-CGSM. Sarah’s SSHRC-funded doctoral work draws on experiential knowledge of self-harm and qualitative interview data to outline a Mad-feminist framework of engagement with self-harm as a politically significant embodied practice. Sarah works at the site of feminist political economies of mental health and madness, feminist BPD studies, critical self-harm studies, feminist engagements with care, and feminist, queer, and Mad epistemologies. Sarah has published in Word and Text (2018), Canadian Journal of Disability Studies (forthcoming 2021) and The Routledge Handbook of Political Economy of Health (forthcoming 2022).
