Vivian Kamau

Vivian Kamau is a researcher with a background in administration, marketing, and law. Vivian has worked on projects like the Global Leadership Project, and is currently a research assistant with the Realizing Human Rights and Social Justice in Mental Health project.

As a young girl growing up in Kenya, Vivian perceived mental illness as something that was a heavily stigmatized. Unlearning this in adulthood has helped Vivian understand that mental health affects how we think, act, and feel, and contributes to the overall health of a person. Vivian is passionate about the policies in place to protect and support people dealing with mental health issues in Kenya.
